We built Vertisure because we lived this problem.
For years, we watched closings get delayed and clients get frustrated by the insurance step. So we built an independent insurance agency, run by mortgage brokers, that handles the insurance step the way it should have been handled all along.
Our story
An insurance agency, built for homebuyers.
Our founders spent years in the mortgage business. They watched the same pattern over and over: a borrower would get to closing week, the insurance still wasn’t lined up, and someone on their team would spend hours chasing an agent who didn’t pick up the phone on a Friday.
Insurance was the part of the home-buying process that everyone tolerated and nobody loved. Borrowers got the runaround. LOs lost weekends. Carriers blamed each other.
We thought: what if the people who live and breathe closing deadlines built the insurance agency? What if quotes came from independent shopping, not a single carrier’s incentive program? What if a real person actually picked up the phone?
